What a wonderful hidden gem this nursery is. We came across this place by accident, seeing a sign and following it to the nursery. Upon arrival, do not be put off by the external appearance, which makes it look small. You enter through a well stocked, sales area of garden accessories, leading to the outdoor display areas, which are thoughtfully laid out, including some excellent, planted display areas. The choice of plants was excellent, with many rarities in Stock, eg, hepaticas and true dwarf conifers. The quality was excellent, we didn't see any distressed or diseased plants, and this made the pricing even more impressive. At the back of the centre is a very nice cafe, which was really busy, clean and tidy.Summing up, this is the best independent garden centre / nursery that I have found, dedicated to quality plants.
We love it here and have lunch or breakfast from the tea room most weekends, it's always busy here (Which is a good sign) we have never not got a seat. Dogs are welcome at the outside eating area and shops but not in the actual tea room itself. Food always lovely and staff friendly and helpful.
My parents have been visiting ashwood for over thirty years and have always found the plants and staff knowledge excellent. Their recent customer service was exceptional and I felt deserves acknowledgement.
Beautiful garden centre. Had a lovely time. Unfortunately not many staff to ask for help & advice there.. I had to leave a few things because there was no care advice with them!
Wonderful top quality plants. Tea room serves the most wonderful food and the cakes are to die for. Gorgeous gift shop too. Plenty of parking and no problem if you are a wheelchair user as easy to get round everywhere. Love it there.
