Nice place to have a walk, we've done 5 miles today and enjoyed every step. There's also some interesting information displayed about the families lived in the rock house.
We had a great time here visiting Santa with the children, no booking needed and for only 3.00 the kids made a Christmas tree wish, reindeer food and visited with want a who gave them a small gift. The whole place was decorated with Christmas garlands. The rick houses themselves were amazing, the NT have done a wonderful job with dressing the rooms so you get a real feel of how people lived there. The cafe is good value.
I absolutely loved Kinver edge. The Rock has died is very hilly but if you go the other side is much flatter much more gentle walks and you can go into the forest always dry never mardy because of the sandy ground fabulous place to dog walk.I do find you really really sad that you can't walk up the past past the Rock houses now because for people who wanted to walk that side but didn't want quite a sleep clime that was a much easier route
Lovely location, interesting history, perfect for a walks. The paths are good and as long as you are okay pushing uphill as well as going down slopes, the paths are pushchair accessible too.The walks are perfect for dogs of all sizes. The Rock Houses themselves are really interesting and worth a visit. Even if the Rock Houses ar closed, the tearoom maybe open and is well worth a visit in it's own right. The walks are fantastic. Very good paths and easy to use as long as you are okay with hills.Great for all ages.
Amazing place. Lovely, informative, woodland walk. Maps available for two different routes. Rock houses amazing and cafe above with scones, jam & cream were delicious. The guy at Cafe very busy but such good service, he made sure everyone was happy running around like a BAF!! And with a smile on his face. This trip made even more special due to the fact that I spotted the painting, light of the world by William Holman Hunt above a bed in one of the houses. It was my recently passed Mother's favourite painting. Sent shivers down me... In a massively good way. My sister and I will visit each year to celebrate her memory.
